VFPA: Port Authority-Led Transportation Infrastructure Projects

16 September, 2020 @ 5 h 50 min - 19 h 30 min

About this Event:

The Canadian Society of Civil Engineering, Vancouver chapter, invites you to attend our September presentation with the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority. The port authority, which oversees Canada’s largest port, is federally mandated to enable Canada’s trade through the Port of Vancouver and continues to advance a suite of major infrastructure projects both on and off port lands. This includes leading a number of trade-enabling road and rail projects across the Lower Mainland that are of national significance to ensure the Greater Vancouver gateway is ready for Canada’s growing trade.

Peter Cohen (Manager, Infrastructure Delivery) will share an overview of the port authority-led transportation infrastructure projects throughout the region – of which collectively are nearing $1B in total project value, and Irsa Haque (Senior Project Delivery Specialist) will provide a more detailed summary for one of these projects – the $141M Pitt Meadows Road and Rail Improvements Project.

This presentation will be delivered in an online format via Google Meet (a conference link will be distributed after registration).

Attendees will have the option to receive a PDH certificate for this session.
